My latest Colt A2 build
Nice. I'm liking the standard 20" A2 style a lot lately. Mine has a flat top with detachable handle, but is set up the same otherwise. Such a well balanced rifle.

I am always a fan of your rifles you build. One thing, if you ever decide to get rid of that couch you need to make mag pouches out of it so everyone will know who you are

love it! the A2 is surely a classic.

Great idea!

Reminds me of my Sporter II, kinda.
A CM marked Colt M-16A2 upper. Excelent uppers.
Need a peel washer.

I had a NOS Colt Government profile A2, 03/97,barrel assembly I got from Scotty Ryan. Shipped it off to ADCO for a repark of the barrel for good measure and the barrel swap. Just came back today. I'm gonna hold onto it this time since I understand that Colt is discontinuing the 6601.
Please elaborate I have not heard this and was thinking about picking one up

I saw it a couple of weeks ago in a thread over on the Colt forum. Someone was remarking that the 6601 doesn't appear in the 2011 catalog of Colt's Manufacturing. One of the posters mentioned that his dealer told him that Colt was discontinuing it.
Yet another great build

Nice Rifle! I wish I could get my hands on a Colt AR-15 one of these days.

Just made fun of the couch on the A2 thread.
Are you planing to put an optic on it, or just go with the irons?
Great rifle!!!

Nope, no optics on this one, just the classic KISS A2 look.
Nice job, but for some reason A2's look better in the Colt grey

Agreed! I just didn't want to spend the money to send it off to Victor for reanodizing

Nice rifle, Jcrowl!! Don't worry, you're old rifle is in good hands over here! ;)
In fact I just shot her again today......boy is she accurate. And she LOVES Fed and IMI M193. It surprises me how tight she groups those 55 grain loads.
I have to give Jcrowl all the props in the world. When he sold me his old rifle, there was a major problem with it. Jcrowl paid out of his his own pocket to ship the rifle back to ADCO to have them put another colt GI barrel assembly on it. His communication was top notch and he went above and beyond to do something he didn't have to in order so he could make the rifle right.
I can not praise him highly enough.
how does it shoot? it looks great
Sweet! I love an A2 rifle.

Thanks for the kind words, was hoping that situation worked out

In fact, this A2 barrel assembly was one I ordered at the same time as the new one for yours. Got a great deal from ScottRyan
Very nice. I kick myself in the butt for selling mine.
