beat up A2 Upper

I found a really beat up A2 stripped upper in my parts bin at work. I am thinking of getting it and building it into a war child but Im not sure what to make out of it. Anyone have any suggestions?

How about one that has been rode hard and put away wet. Find a lower and hand guards and work them over to look like the upper. Kind of like the AK's you see in the hands of these guys on some of the programs on Discovery Channel.

I got a set of hand guards that look like they were used for 20 years in the jungles of South America, top one is even missing a heat shield. I would gladly donate them to this effort.

so you think I should make a Battlefield pick up A2?
I tried to put a bolt carrier in it and it seemed really tight...it might have got squished??? Ill let you know when I find out more.
