I just got a PMAG in the mail today but it looks different from all my others. I don't think it's 1st gen but it's not 3rd either and my others are all 2nd gen. As you can see in the pictures, the new one's PMAG lettering is near the top instead of at the bottom like the others. Also the grip indentions are smaller then the others. It seems to be mad out of a different plastic too. The new one is marked X1 under the mag hold thing while the others are marked M3. The new one is also marked PMAG 30 OE while the others are marked PMAG 30 M. So what is this mag I have and why is it different? (The new one is the bottom one in all the pics)

Why would there be a fake P-mag?. It would not work for any airsoft stuff

Generally PMAG's are stamped with PMAG logo, but might be on the other side. Hard to say with the various versions they have.

Just guessing, but the OE could mean "Original Equipment" which is included in various factory guns that have Magpul mags and/or furniture on them. The big blank spot at the bottom looks the same size as the mags with manufacturers logos on them:

Ah yep that's it right there (without the M&P of course). Brownell's must have gotten some leftover blanks or something. Thanks

Excellent detective work. Yes the mag you have is from the OEM production molds with no branding. It is identical to the MRev magazine apart from the rib depth and spacing.
