Anyone have experience sending a scope in to have turrets or reticule changed?
I have a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x50 that has standard hunting type turrets. I would like to have target turrets installed. Something that would allow adjustment without having to unscrew the caps. Can anyone recommend a company to do this? Is Leupold my best bet? Anyone want to guess at what this would cost?
I'm also thinking about having mil dots added to the reticule.
I know someone who sent one to Leupold for the Same thing, at the rear lens there are bubbles... Like big soap bubbles.
You can change the turrets yourself. It's not a big deal to swap them out. Just order them online or call Leupold.
As for the reticle, I'm guessing you're better off selling the scope and buying what you really want. I wouldn't trust an aftermarket company to change the reticle on a Leupold scope. And if Leupold offers the service, I can't imagine it being any cheaper than just selling your current scope and buying a new one.
