Specter Gear 1 Point Viper and MOUT and SOP 3 Point
I'm on kind of a tight budget and am looking for slings for two rifles: an A1 Receiver with a 14.5" barrel with M-4 stock- and- a 16" Flattop Carbine with A1 buttsock donning an Aimpoint. I'm interested in going with either the Viper or MOUT for the A1 receiver and an SOP Three point for the Flattop Carbine. Can anyone give me feedback on these specific slings?
Also should I go with the Mash Hook or Webbing Adapter on the Viper or MOUT?
Will an IKickHippies SLAP Plate work with the Viper or MOUT?
I've already considered a 2-1 point Sling and the cost of the sling plus adapters is cost prohibitive particularly for two rifles and having tried several two points including a Gear Sector GS-2P I can honestly say I fit/like three points better. My cheap home made 3 Point TAC Sling fits and rides better than the GS-2P! Also considered the Magpul MS3 and $100+ dollars per rifle plus the cost of changing out the A1 buttsock ain't happening>

I own both of these slings, at least the viper single point, not a mout. I prefer the bungies. The SOP 3-point is, imo, the best sling out there. It is very easy to use and has all the options that one would need. As for the Viper, I prefer the mash hook. En regards to which is better, between the webbing and the mash hook, really depends on what you have avaliable as a mount point. I use the Veltor ambi endplate for HK style hooks. Works with the MASH hook like a champ. I bought two of the MASH hook pig tails so I could swap out between two different rifles. Also I tend to use the Viper single point only when I use a vest. And the SOP works with any of it.
But to put a long story short, You will not go wrong with either of these or both. I could'nt decide and I just bought both. But I will say, I find the the SOP is really the only one I come back too. I have also bought another SOP for my shotgun as well. This sling is indeed had to beat. Be sure to watch some of the videos that specter puts up on the product pages. They give you some good direction to what the slings can do.
As to the IKickHippies SLAP Plate, It will work just fine using the MASH hook pig tail. It even states on its website that MASH hook was one that it was designed for. It looks alot like MAGPULs solution as well.
