I ordered one off fleabay for $12.00 shipped. Installed it on my 2-cell incandescent Maglite, and WOW! If you tighten the beam as tight as it will go, it will seriously throw a spotlight out to 200 yards, easy. I was absolutely floored! I'm using a Gen3 PVS-14 though, so not sure how well it will do with Gen 1 or 2. Only problem is it's not really tactical enough to go hunting (too big and heavy). And with the tight beam, you have pretty much zero throw. But for $12.00, it's a steal!

How is the bloom through your NOD with that baby?

Not bad at all. If you shine it at something close it will bloom a little.

That would work great as a stand scanning light, I have a couple of old 4 D-Cell Maglites that would get more use with that conversion.
