The blast from the muzzle break on my 11.5" SBR fogs up the lens on my G2. Its mounted on the right rail with an offset mount and the lens is about 2 inches away from the end of the muzzle. Is there like a tear away clear lens cover option? or even a non-clear lens cover? Something to prevent it from fogging up and getting dirty?
Chapstick may not only be for girls.
A small amount on the lens. The crap will stick to that and be easy to wipe off.
lol..really? I'll pass on that. might as well use tape lol

Not sure what you're looking for here?
Are you looking for a lens cover that can be used with the light like a "sacrificial lens cap" or are you just looking for a way to keep carbon off your bezel?
In order of precedence -
1. If carbon is that big of a problem, can you, or would you be willing to simply move the light? Seems like the easiest and simplest solution, though I could understand why you might be loathe to do it, I just had to put that out there.
2. Have you ever tried simply "erasing" the carbon from the bezel with a rubber pencil eraser? That's what I do on any lights of mine that get carbon residue on them. If you're not concerned about perfect aesthetics (the carbon will "blast" the anodizing on aluminum bezels and eventually "etch" it) it keeps the glass clean and clear, do it at every cleaning session and it shouldn't be a problem. A little CLP will clean the rest of the bezel if you want to clean off the "graying."
3. There are a couple different options of "flip off" covers - basically scope covers that come in various forms of solid, colored, or IR filters that can be used as a lens cover - would that be something of interest to you?

I'll +1 to moving the light further away from the muzzle. You're probably not going to find a very slick way to have removable layers of plastic on the lens.
You might consider an X300 in some sort of an offset mount.
Why do you have a light on there if you're willing to use tape? Not much light would get through that. To each their own.
I'll leave the light where it is.. I was just hoping there was a lens cover option. Something like a simple scope cap or something that just snaps over it. Not a filter. Just a lens cover. didn't expect to pay more than 5 bucks for one. I guess they don't exist.
