Think you misspelled the lower in the title of your post you can fix that. I got a nfa lower too almost 1k through it so far I haven't cleaned out the lower yet well except for the buffer tube and a little wipe down when it was new.
What was your total for the build?
How does it shoot?
Looks good and looks like you saved yourself some money for ammo hope it's a good shooter.

I like it! The big question is how do you like it?

Now go shoot the crap out of it and run a few classes then let us know how it works out/stands up. Everyone will be waiting to know.

I have not had the chance to shoot it yet. I am in an Air Force PME course at the moment, and it has taken up all of my time.

Total for the build including shipping and FFL was $530 not including the sights.

I'm sure it will hold up just fine, it feels very solid, but like you said, time will tell!

Good looking rifle. I am looking at an oracle when I return from Afghanistan next month. The AR bug bit me while over here. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the magpul BUIS being on the rail as opposed to the gas block. If anyone else has shot one like this, please let me know.

I plan on picking up a primary arms 30 mm red dot when they come back in stock so the BUIS will be strictly in case it fails.

Thoughts?

I know I'll be waiting, I've been looking at these lowers and am quite curious how well they hold up.

I think putting the front sight on any handguard is a bad idea.

I have tried a bunch of drop in handguards including Magpul MOE (the best fitting ones so far) and they all move anywhere from a little to a lot when the shooters grip changes.
Depending on the shooter's grip on the weapon during any given shot, the front sight may or may not be in the same alignment it was in when it was sighted in.

As for putting the front sight on a free floating handguard, I think that is the worst idea ever.
After all, the point of a FF handguard is that it can (and will, in my experience) flex without moving the barrel.
So now the front sight will NEVER be in the same position relative to the barrel bore, except by coincidence.

But it's just my opinion.

Well my 20" LaRue Stealth with MATECH and GG&G flip ups is accurate enough to hit 10"x12" plates at 320yds all day long with xm193 ammo. Depends on how ridged the float tube is and how accurate you wanna get I suppose.

I would check on the height of the Magpul BUIS to see if they offer different heights for gas block vs rail.

As far as NFA, a member just posted about their pivot/take-down pins breaking because the lower did not meet the specs of the upper they had. This caused stress on the pins every time it was fired. Have not heard if they replaced with metal pins and how it was holding up. I would bet the metal pins would stress the lower and the lower will crack.

Magpul recommends that the MBUS shouldn't be used on a gas block. It'll melt
