I picked up a RIS II FSP rail t install on my LMT upper. I have a couple questions about the installation.
1.) The site I ordered from said they recommended the buyer pick up the DD tool for the rail install. I accidentally ordered two of them and then noticed the rail came with one. No big deal if it weren't for the fact that not a single one of them actually fit into the slots on the nut. Is that normal?
2.) It looks like a action block is required to install a muzzle brake, correct? I cant see way to get the rail, FSB and muzzle brake on without it. Not enough room to get the barrel into a after the rail and FSB are slid on.
I actually have the rail on and which was a pain in the but because the FSB pins have to be installed after the top portion of the rail is already on. What sucks is that the FSB is still canted a bit so I need to pull it apart or I am going to go insane. :)
My DD lite rail came with a barrel nut and wrench. I have put on my flash hider yet, not sure how I am going to line it up yet

Mine did too, it's just that the wrench didn't fit into the nut.
I apologize. Today my barrel vice blocks came in and I decided to disassemble the upper so that I could fix the canted FSB. Turns out the guy who helped me out wasn't quite patient enough with the wrench. The wrench does fit into the grooves on the nut but very tightly, which in my opinion is a good thing.
Anyway, I was able to fix the canted FSB and I'm quite happy. Now I just need a action vice block so I can get my battelcomp back on.
