I have a 14.5 inch upper with a pinned flash hider, and a standard drop in 2 piece rail. I want to instal a longer free float type rail system. I already plan to. It down the front sight into a low profile gas block, as replacing it with flash hider pinned would be impossible for me to do myself. Here is my problem, I know a Midwest Industries 2 piece free float rail would be the easiest route, are there any other rail systems out there that attach like the Midwest rails do? I would really like a modular type, like a vtac or trx type that would allow only the rails I want to be added. Is there anything like that out there?

The TRX will do exactly that. Once your FSB is cut, get rid of the handguard cap and Delta ring and slide that TRX on.
