does Armalites Christmas sale sort of suck this year?
Normally, I always spend a couple hundred on an upper or some mags, but have yet to see any real deals this year. Looks more like inventory cleanup to me.
Not trying to hate... I love my Armalite rifles, but this years sale is dissapointing (thus far).

For me the deal is that I don't have to buy 5 5rd mags to get the good price as I only wanted 2 for hunting.

The reasoning was so that our customers could buy these in any quanties and capacities they wanted instead of 5 and 10 packs of 1 specific capacity.

While I don't agree with the original poster, I DID want to say thank you for the thread for pointing out the sale price on the BCG for $199!
I was going to be buying one sometime soon, and this saves me some money...

I don't think that you are ever going to see AR10 mag prices significantly lower than they are currently. ArmaLite has TON$ invested in the tooling and R&D for the Gen2 mags, with very good results.
I have a hunch that this is one of the reasons Magpul chose to make mags for DPMS-style .308s rather than AR10s. The DPMS mags (factory and aftermarket) are far less reliable. Magpul took notice and exploited this weakness.

yea...I wasn't complaining I was just saying the deals aren't there...for what it's worth I have like 8 ArmaLite mags and they are ALMOST 100%... I have one 10 rounder that has mag tilt failed with me before...but my 20s are perfect.

I don't think the people are complaining that Armalite's sale SUCKS or anything, its just not what they have been in previous years. I, for one, was definitely looking forward to this years sale, but the lack of previous years prices have kept me from buying anything. This is not saying that a deal isn't a deal, it's just not what it was in the past. Heck, I realize cost of metal has gone up etc, etc, so this is just my 2 cents. LOL.
I LOVE all my Armalite stuff and will continue to buy it, but have yet to pick up anything during their Christmas Sale, whereas normally I have spent a couple hundred on it in the past.

It seems everytime we have a sale, some have issues about not seeing what they wanted, not being cheap enough, etc, etc, etc. The magazine sale isn't as good as it was in the past for package deals but instead of having to buy in packages we gave customers the opportunity to purchase these magazines at the same price but in any combination and quanity they wanted. We did this because of past customers requests.
We can't have the same sale every year nor run the sale prices lower and lower every year. We do this sale (and other sales throughout the year) as a thank you to our customers.
