 Trouble with pivot pin

I never have any trouble pushing my takedown pin out with my finger and grabbing the head with my finger nail.
However, I have a heck of a time getting my pivot pin out. I have had to put a small screwdriver up against the pin and take a whack at it to get it to pop out at all.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? What do you recommend to remove the pin? I do not like using metal on metal in case the screwdriver slips off the pin and scratches my lower.
Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you have lubed it properly, and well.
Otherwise once the anodizing and phosphate start to wear down on the parts a bit from use, the pin will get easier to manipulate.
Some are tight, some are loose.Just be happy the pivot pin is not wobbling around in the receiver pin hole.
Do be careful and not drive the pin out too far,or use too much force as to damage something.Just go easy until things settle in with normal wear and tear.

Purchase this.

Or make your own, if you have access to a lathe and some delrin round stock.

i push them out with a round if they are tight your supposed to use a dummy round. sometimes its just how they are lining up after you get the takedown pin out break open the rifle and it may come out a little easier then.

I use my cleaning stick(a sharpened chop stick) as a take down tool to get the take down/pivot pins out far enough to grab with my ham fisted fingers.....

Yeap golf tees work good for take down tool....but to short reach for cleaning needs or as a pick, which is why I use chop sticks.
I don't eat "chi-com food" at all as it does nothing but make me hungry,"Im a kill it and grill it" southern hillbilly with hog, deer, varmints, corn bread and greens as my main staple food in fact.
