No more 'build parties?'

so now that I'm interested in building my own AK...or AK's...where are all the build parties I've read/heard about?

post in your home town forum on arfcom and on akfiles.com
if you dont find a build party you may find someone with the tools who is willing to help.

Are you kidding, each time I think build parties are going to end and kits are drying up it just doesn't happen. First email I got this morning was regarding our next build party. Granted, while you're welcome to come build with the West Desert Arms group in Utah one of these upcoming weekends it may not be doable from the state you have on your profile. Just check with your state forum and see what you can find. Build parties have only evolved to handle the changing demands of building, they haven't ceased to exist.

I've got a standing offer out to help anyone in the Tulsa area or that would like to drive to the Tulsa area. I charge 2 beers/hour.

Make sure the beers are paid after the AK is built..it would seem some AKs are built in this fashion (2 beers an hour) and trust me, they don't look so good!

i was trying to get one going in eastern PA and a few said yes. butt then they all disappeared!!!

Thought about getting together some of the guys in the four corners area, but was never sure who had what tooling or where to host it. Thats not to say it couldn't, just need to do some more planning with the locals that are interested.
