Has anyone ever chronograph Brown Bear from a Saiga 21? I am interested in the true velocity? I dont think I am getting the listed velocity. My drop at 200 yards is much larger then expected for 2300 FPS

Well I went out and answered my own question and boy am I impressed with BROWN BEAR. I fired 20 shots through the chronograph. The first 5 did not record properly due to the muzzle blast at 3 feet so I moved the chronograph out to 6 feet past the muzzle and here are the results. Pretty impressive for Russian Ammo at less then $4.00 a box

I like brown bear alot, seems to be good ammo. Shoot it in my ak's and ar's. Good numbers, thanks for the info.

Here's what I have for Brown Bear 125gr soft point out of my Ruger Mini-30. This stuff seems to run about 100fps faster out of the Ruger over what I get with my Yugo M64.

I have used Silver Bear, but may have to get a case of BB.
