What can you tell me about this ammunition?

Well, just from the picture, looks like vintage Chinese steel cased, steel cored ammo, but without info on the headstamp, that is just my educated guess. This ammo started flooding into the country around the mid 1980's or so by the buttloads. At the peak, you could buy a case of 1100 rds for about $75.00 or so. I would say that it is mildly corrosive at least, could be copper washed steel cased, or green painted steel cased, or brown painted for that matter as well. Pic of actual ammo would help, but I would say this discription is pretty close to what you might have there. Hope this helps!

Yep most of the yellow boxes were lead core . most of the silver boxes were steel
I never use box color to ID core type. I've seen too many of both types in each color (and others) to make any generalities...
