I've had a notification request in at Midway for a while now, waiting for them to get some more Circle 10 5.45 mags in. Just got an update from them, and the status has been changed to "Discountinued by manufacturer". Does this mean that Arsenal wont be doning any more?

Wow. It used to say (as of late last night) that they were due on March 23rd.

I honestly didn't expect that. I figured the Bulgarians would continue to make a few for the American market. Guess not.

I was under the impression that the bulgarians stopped making them years ago and the ones that have been coming in are just surplus. The bulgarians dont use the 5.45 caliber anymore so theres no real reason to continue making them.

Arsenal BG definitely made new production runs just for the US market. The OD and Plum mags were commissioned by K-VAR and it wouldn't surprise me if the 45 round 5.45's were as well. I always just assumed they also did black production runs due the large amount of retailers who always had ample stock at the same price.

Watch K-VAR. If they don't get some in in the next few weeks, the game is over.

If you like Bulgarian 5.45 anything, buy it now. I just bought 3 SLR105s and 40 circle whatever mags.

40 circle whatever mags? Are you selling them? If not, mind telling us where you snagged them?

RGuns is the only retailer I know of who has them.

Everybody should calm down and relax.

This is all just part of the big gun scare, the whole industry is in on it.The suppliers and distributers are just holding onto everything right now to make it look like everything is gone so they can jack the prices and make millions.

Wake up people.

That certainly is possible but I don't think that's it. Budsgunshop sent out an email this week stating that their Feb 12 sales were 500% more than in Feb 09. My guess is that similar things are going on across the industry. Ed Fitzgerald of Glock told me they were 200,000 units behind their current orders and were working both of their production plants (USA and Austria) 24/7 and couldn't even keep up with current orders, nevermind start working on the back log. So, supply probably isn't keeping up with demand across the industry. It may not catch up for a few years.

Whos not calm

Big gun scare? Makes no sense whatsoever. They would not say something is "discontinued" if they wanted to profit. They would simply....jack the prices up and make millions. The industry is most certainly booming right now though. My best friend works at a major gun manufacturer and they are having problems keeping up with demand. Sales at my local gun store are through the roof, and the same is being reported by a friend who runs another store in the state. Thats not some grand conspriracy by the evil gun makers to milk us of all our money... Thats simple fact. They dont have to stop selling things to make millions, all they have to do right now is simply, sell them.

Now, back to the panic discussion about 5.45 circle 10 mags....

If Arsenal truly has stopped doing them, what alternative sources are there?

Im sure there will be more on they way eventually.

I just looked at my supplier and they currently have 359 of the ARSENAL AK74 545X39 45RND BLK

So they are still out there! Yea, editing again. I looked at 2 different distributors and there's a $30 per mag difference in price! That right there is insane

Somewhat off topic but since others brought up "gun scare". I just got an email from Wideners stating that manufacturerd are already reporting delays and the people should look at their yearly needs now and plan/purchase accordingly.

I can tell that the store I work in part time has started seeing the panic buying and certain items drying up for the past few weeks. We weren't anticipating this for months. We can't get AK's and AR's are still to go out allocation or just not in stock as well. It's damn near impossible for us to order any new 5.56 right now as well. Basically, if you see something you want, buy it now.

I just picked up 3 from the magazine deal thread. It looks like they're still in stock. $19 bucks and $7 shipping. I snagged 3...

Relax, Russia will eventually surplus tons of their magazines and they will be cheap again then. I would imagine they have millions of bakelite mags stored. They're already beginning to surplus the 45rd bakes at $30 a pop.

I think when they put "Discontinued by Manufacturer" just means the date they set before is not going to happen and they really have no clue when they might get some. So rather than pushing dates back they just say that because as of right now they can't give a date........

I know they did the same thing for other surf before.

Who is selling these mags? Looking for the best deal on 45rd bakelites, and $59.99 is the best I've found.

I'm not selling them. I have six Ak's in 5.45.

I picked them up all on the EE here and on theakforum. I sold a few ones I didn't want, but I'm not selling them. The supply of Bulgies will eventually run out, but there will be more HUGE shipments of Rusky mags. No need to fret.

Seriously, AIM and SG have CASES and CASES of ammo and prices have quite increased yet. Nothing to worry about. I've been stocking up, but just because I got a larger Christmas bonus.

Well just to entertain your comment; yes you are correct. However, russia will export them to somewhere like Bulgaria. So long as the importing nation holds them for a certain period of time, they can claim them as their own and then export to USA...
