Areas armor just came out with there comp in 7.62X39 and .308, has anyone used the 556 and how hard is it to tune?

What do you mean by "tune"? It's a preorder, and it hasn't been released. How would anybody know much about it except what information they provide us? I assume it's a standard 14mm thread pattern with notches to time it correctly.
Looks like the ports in it are threaded. I'm guessing by "tune" they mean plug the ports with a set screw.
Seems.... unnecessary.

Yup. Gotta play with the little plugs.
Go about a minute in you can see what they mean.

I see this as a great way to burn time and ammo, and to tinker with something that should be plug and play.
The 5.56 version was already out, that is what I was referring to for tuning. Seems more appropriate for .308/7.62. I am not seeing that it is a pre-order?
