Has anyone ever dealt with this guy?
He seems to have a bunch of Soviet surplus stuff. I went ahead and ordered one of the plum grips. What do you think the chances are I'll receive it, and it is exactly as pictured? I emailed the seller, and he said it was actual military surplus.

I think it's the same Vladimir who operates soviet-military.com. I've bought from him before and he's a good guy. As with anything coming from the Ukraine, you have to assume the risk of not getting your stuff due to customs. You're at least protected with eBay so I'd say go for it.
I've bought a couple of things from him thru his website and had no problems but, as CGP2 stated, anything coming from over there is subject to the whims of customs.

What reason would Customs have to reject this?

It's a gun part and a piece of military equipment. Most countries gun laws are way more strict than ours, so you really never know what their customs people will freak out about. Vlad got in some shit for some of the stuff he sells recently.. supposedly magazines even though he was selling them disassembled and packed in different boxes.
Description wording above picture states as "airsoft."Is it a real soviet military issue surplus part?
Or,is it his wording to pacify customs?

"airsoft" gets him around the ebay prohibition on "AK" parts.
bought some things from his website back in January. Mostly stocks and hand guards and a few soviet militia .
Well the badges and lower hand guards arrived fairly quickly like in early febuary. However it is now June and i have yet to receive any of the two stocks and any of the three upper hand guards that was in the order.
I contacted him 2 or 3 times, and he swore up and down that he shipped them and sent out another set... in April. Still haven't received anything except for the lower hand guards. Eventually gave up and bought a stock set here on Ar15.
Be wary, he got back to me quickly, but its a long haul from Ukraine to the states... I am hoping that it got stuck in customs and that some day soon i will receive the stuff i purchased.
So be careful.

Yep.
I can vouch for him. It takes a couple weeks for the items to show up, but they usually do, and if there's a problem they will resend it.
