Putting a Bulgy 4 piece FH on a Romy 16" barrel.....
Should it be done? I have seen it working on a Arsenal 16", but was told they are for SBR only? Need some help here, thanks.

Don't do it. The 4-piece FH is a gas BOOSTER. It creates more back pressure to ensure reliable function of SBRs. If you use it on a 16" rifle, you will over-gas the system and batter your rifle to death.
I read something about drilling out the port. Sound like a wise idea? It would only work correctly with that FH, I know.
What is the optimal length for these?
Are the ok for a Draco?

What's your motivation for wanting to install it?
Actually, I think you want to restrict the gas port by making it smaller. Opening up the gas port would just allow more gas cycle the rifle, causing more damage to your rear trunnion and BCG.

Should be fine for a Draco, but the thread pattern is different. You'll need an adapter for installation.
I just want to eliminate as much flash as I can without making it louder if possible. Plus, I don't want any down facing ports as well because of prone shooting, kinda like a A2 hider.
You could drill down into the gas port in the gas block, then thread it and put a set screw in it. This would basically make the gas system adjustable... screw it down to restrict gas, unscrew to let more in. Hard to describe where I'm talking about drilling. I may make a pic to show it later, too busy right now with school work.
Simply drilling out the port won't solve a "too much pressure problem." It'll just make things worse since more gas will be hitting the piston and launching the carrier back even harder. You want less gas to get to the piston to solve an overpressure issue.
When you get a chance, post up. Thanks.

Then get an A2 flash hider made for the AK and be done with it.
ETA: I've had one of Kreb's A2's on my WASR and it's a very quality piece:

This is what you are looking for.
I don't know if they are in stock (K-VAR is out), but they shouldn't be too hard to find.
The only reason I haven't done it yet is because the YHM Phantom 5C2 does a much better job. I just can't seem to get it in my thread pitch. So I am hunting for either a adapter for my threads AK 14x1 to fit a AR 1/2 x28, or a Dye set that will work.

Why is that the one I am looking for? Do you have some dark/night video with it installed on a AK47 with a 16" barrel, shooting 7.62x39? If you did, then I would have something to go by.

There are videos on Youtube showing the effectiveness of that particular flash hider, which you can get cheaper at CNC Warrior. Here is a YHM style flash hider, also at CNC Warrior:

Heres a pic that should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
The red line is the area inside of the gas block that the gas travels in. The blue line is the hole you would drill, thread, and put a set screw in. If you tighten down the set screw all the way, it would basically block all gas flow. Then if you loosen it up you can test it and and eventually find the sweet spot for how much gas you want to get passed the set screw.
Just an idea. I've personally never had a need to do it. Some guys have done it on overgassed PSL's.

It does a good job with flash without making it louder and doesn't have downward facing ports. It's as correct (Bulgarian) of a flash hider as you are going to get for an Arsenal.
Check out the Smith Vortex, Liberty Cans Pheonix, or PWS offerings. They don't have closed bottoms, but are all effective.

Yep. I have a Smith Vortex on my AR. Shot it a few times at night. Barely any visible flash, if any.

Sorry, these are all 14x1. I have the AR-M1 on my SLR-106FR and it's great. Surefire looks like they might have a flash hider coming out this year in 24x1.5 and a QD can designed for 7.62x39.
I have seen 24 to 14mm conversion adapters so no need to be restricted to either 24 mm or 14mm for a flash hider.

I put one on my Draco and it works well.
Thanks for all the input. I will definitely keep these in mind if I do not like the one I ordered today. The A2 bird cage I think is the most underrated FH on the market. I have on on M-4. It's always hard to beat a Vortex, pretty much the benchmark for FH makers, it doesn't fit my needs. I ended up buying an Apex Phantom 2 or Phantom A2.

I may just got a indoor range this weekend to see how much muzzle flash it has. If they are as good as what I have seen same looking FH's on you tube and such, it should be right about the 90-95% rate. I can't seem to find a outdoor range anywhere near me, the only one somewhat close is closed until July or August.
