I recently got an SLR-105 that has a US black pistol grip. I want to verify this is the correct color for a Bulgarian rifle. I searched but maybe the question is so elementary nobody has asked it. Thanks!

if you look the whole stock should be US made, Arsenal rifles use US stock sets for 3 compliance parts and black is one of the colors the gun was sold with so it's probably original to the gun

The rifle has wood handguards and buttstock. I am curious what color pistol grip an AK74 in Bulgaria would have. What is the original Bulgarian color, not necessarily what Arsenal slaps on them when they are imported?

Thanks!

there may be more options but i've seen the parts kits with wood, plum or black stocks

They had the same pinkish-orange colored plastic grip on both the wood and plum '74 military rifles. Referred to by collectors as "Bulgarian bubble gum grip." All black is current issue and the US marked black one is what the SLR-105 import was sold with. No worries.

Arsenal actually has three black grips, a gloss black one, a russian old school copy, and a bulgarian old school copy. The bulgarian one says us on the side and came on the 105. That whats on yours.
