Arsenal milled side-folder price check? ETA- snagged/picks up

I ran across what I believe was a SAM-7 with the factory tubular sidefolder(folded to the right and had a grooved catch in the lightening cut of the milled rec to hold in the folded position). I didn't turn up any in the completed auction search at gunbroker for a comparison. Can anybody give me an idea what they are trading for in clean used condiditon?

ETA- no box or accessories.

Thx guys. I'll see if I can work on 'em if it's still there when I get back out there. IIRC they were asking $1699.

ETA- picked up the rifle on a second pass. It's a used but, very clean SA M-7SFC. I negotiated with the seller and had him take off an Ultimak that was on the rifle(have one in my parts bin) and acquired a couple of extra parts in the deal at a lower price. The rifle came with a Bulgarian sling, one Circle 10 waffle, cut down cleaning rod, fake brake, thread protector, original front sight as well as a Tritium front sight post installed. Please pardon my amateurish pics.

I was looking at K-Var's website and thinking about SAM-9 type grip and HG's, can anyone tell me if I have to worry about 922 with this rifle and if so, what the US parts are other than the current furniture?

The cheapest amount you can, they were limited in production. Not new in the box, no box for that fact unless it is unfired probally not worth what someone would ask for it now a days since people think guns are like gold. Then there are those who are willing to pay it. If it is in excellent condition and fired very little $1200 would be a good price IMHO.

I agree, but it's worth is probably closer to 2k, market dependable.

Those who feed the fire keep it burning. $1200 is plenty. GARY N4KVE

Would also be interested to know what you paid for it.

Definitely a great buy. I am a huge fan of AK-102/4/5 rifles and yours is very rare. I would scoop somthing like that up in a heart beat.

$1600

The orig asking price was higher than I remembered, The seller started at $1800. Given that I was thinking of a SGL21-94 at around $1200 and change or a SLR107CR when they come up, I don't feel too bad. It was however, a chunk of change.

Thx Nictra, I have never spent that much on a single rifle but, I fell in love with it. I'm trying to resist the urge to go class III. I moonlight at a local gunshop and fear that slippery slope of SBR's and suppressors. I'm still kicking myself for missing 107ur's at cost. Might still need to SBR when I crack under the pressure.

Can I add the SAM-9 style HG and Grip from K-var w/o getting myself into hot water? Thought they looked cool and the grip looks nicer than the US one where they just milled a clearance for the thumb safety.

I think it's a good buy even at the high-ish price you paid. That is a very rare rifle of excellent quality. Would make for a really sweet SBR!

that pistol grip should work perfect and is most likely what came original on that rifle. IM me if you have trouble finding one, I might be persuaded to sell mine.

Nice rifle, very collectable. I just picked up a Poly Legend for $1300 and sold it a week later for $1900. I bought one of the first 107CRs and paid
$899 and thought that was outragious for a stamped AK. You'll definately make money on it if you ever decide to get rid of it. My best buy was a SAS M7 "Classic" I paid $699 for at a pawn shop they had a WASR sitting next to it for $650 LOL.

Nice score. I sold SA-M7SF a year ago for $1500, so I'd say you did GREAT considering there are only about 50 like yours out there. They are a great handling rifle, probably the most robust of all the sidefolders and the safety is nifty. Had mine had a barrel setup like yours, I would've kept it.
