Is there an advantage to the spring loaded firing pin?
I have long heard about these, and until I recently bought a Poly Tech didn't know what the exact difference is. I see the difference, but have never had any trouble with a free floating firing pin, which made me wonder what is the advantage?
i personally see no advantage to having that
ive seen some polytech ads from the 80s marketing that, stating that the there design was better than the competition.
To the best of my knowledge it just reduces the chance of having a slam fire.
