 New Timbersmith Premium Red Stock Kit on old WASR

I received my Timbersmith Premium Red Stock Kit today and ,,It really is an improvement over
the 3 kinds of wood and plastic pistol grip that the WASR came with..

One note the Lower Hand guard will need to be shimmed as it is a little loose.
Other than that it was a 10 minute job.

Yeah, I'd restain that something other than coral red.

Yeah the wood looks nice but that color needs to be darker. It almost looks pink.

Flynlr, is your new butt NATO=length or standard? Looks loooonger for me from here.

Also, Timbersmith offers fingergrooves in their lower forearms? That's a new one on me.

Looks good BTW and colour is fine as is IMHO.

yes they have finger grooves,,
and now as promised ,,, much more accurate color pics.

and now that I look at it.. does that upper hand guard look to high?. i did the rotate it onto the gastube thingy

Yes you need to rotate it more.


It still looks melon colored.

If the gap is not even on both sides, turn the guard some more.

You can get that same color with "redwood" deck stain.
