Umm, go shoot it. Go online for ammo and mag deals. Get a nice padded case to hold your mags and an optic at some point. But first thing, GO SHOOT IT....
Magazines, ammo and a quality sight adjustment tool.
I put a cheapie red dot Tasco (Walmart) on mine and was very surprised how accurate it was after dialing in and how well it holds position. Original battery still going strong after 8 months. Side mount rail cost me more than the sight. My WASR 10/63 came with the side rail already on. A must have, was surprised when it showed up from Bud's with the mount on there.
I adjusted mine so I can still see the steel sights under the top rail. Made sure I bought a mount that was adjustable.
There's a guy who posted a picture of his unit in "Can someone tell me what I have" topic. Almost exactly like my sight setup except mount hardware is slightly different. Mine is Russian, I think.
Ok me and a couple other arfcommers went shooting yesterday.. had a good time.. i liked the gun.. i dont like the short stock but oh well.. it was fun for plinking... killed a bunch of zombie targets lol
not sure if i want to put optics on it... i am looking for more mags... came with a tapco mag and i really dont like it..
i do need a good case...
