I took my buddy to the range to let him shoot a few of my suppressed pistols. He had a WASR-10 that he purchased about a year ago and had only put a box of ammo through it. When I pulled out my P22 with AAC Pilot suppressor, he stated that he was going to trade the AK to his brother for his P22. I jokingly said I would trade you. He said Okay. I was shocked. We did a straight trade. My P22 and 2-mags for the AK and all factory accessories. He had paid a little over $400 for the AK, I paid $275 for the P22 obout 7 years ago. I was feeling pretty bad about the trade, but he was very satisfied. I did even things out later in the day. He was shooting his Ruger Charger using a BSA scope with lenses that were so yellow I could barely see through them. I gave him a Nikon 4x rimfire that put a smile on his face. I feel better now. Friends don't let friends use bad scopes.
The AK had a canted front sight and shot a little hight at 25 yards. I took the entire thing apart, aligned the front sight, and sanded down the wood furniture. It looked like raw wood. I like dark wood, so I stained it Black Cherry. It turned out pretty nice. I will be rubbing it down with tung oil later today and will post pictures by Sunday. This is my first AK, but I am not new to them. They made me duck more than a few times in Iraq.

. They are also fun as hell in full auto. All in all, I think I made a hell of a good trade.

She will get her new test run next weekend.
Very nice.. looking forward to pics!
