Maadi "Long barrel"

Remember theese...back in the early 90's no one wanted them. A friend an I picked up a couple when they were down to something like $219.00. At the time no RPK parts were available so many of the parts are home-made.

This particular rifle has a rear sight slightly off to the left, the front sight is slighty off to the right but using an old Russian 1P29 Trilux, I can shoot better groups than with my PSL. Only reason I never made it into a std. rifle. Glad to see someone else do some cosmetic work on these.

In my case, I actually don't remember but I'm fairly sure it's an RPM - Pars import.

I got my Maadi RPM (first AK) back in 94. I knew nothing about them but I picked it over the MAK90 because it had a 'cool' fiberforce stock on it. With the upgraded stockset I paid $425. A bit high but I was just happy to have an AK.
