My LGS has a Russian SKS, 1954 Tula arsenal. So far as I can tell, it's in good condition. What would this realistically be worth?
Pics would be helpful to see condition without blindly giving you an estimate. But if you say good condition that leaves a large range of value, so an estimate would be what market value brings in good condition and that would be around $350.

LGS wants $550 for it. They're known for overpricing their stuff, though, so I'm not surprised.
Too bad. I've got a Norinco that I like, but I'd really like to put a real Soviet piece in the stable someday.
For $550 they can keep it, it is way over priced.
