Just bought a new "f" marked Golani, it shoots great, no complaints here. I need some information on parts. Are the comp/break and pistol grip interchangeable with standard AK parts? Also, are there any "must have" accessories for this weapon? Thanks.
The muzzle threads on a Galoni are 13x1.0 right hand and AK threads are usually left hand.
The TDI tactical grip and several others work fine but i don't think a regular AK grip will fit because of the mounting screw length/dia.
i'd keep a set of headspace guages handy and check after every range trip.
An AR mag adapter makes mags easier and cheaper to sort out.
The FAB handguard/rail is the best for optics- not cheap just the best.
I think its fun to collect origonal IMI or South African assessories...such as the excellent Israeli early tactical sling with the huge metal clip-hooks...a GREAT sling! Original cleaning kits (The SA cleaning kit is the best.) and/or IMI S.A. manuals. Some of these manuals are available as free downloads. My early "F" stamped Golani as been perfect after nearly 5000 rounds of Wolf black box 55 grain. A great trigger and very accurate. I would take Tenngalils advice everytime, on anything Galil...head space guages are a good idea, as is a broken shell extractor. But I have had no problems whatsoever with mine and I even use it in EXTREME cold weather. Waiting for mine to fail, but so far so good!

What is the prefix of the serial #? GAL or GLN?
These guys have the slings (and other cool stuff).
There's a guy in Texas (maybe someone here has his info) who has the replacement tritiums. Definately worth the cost.
And other than the mags, there are no other "must have" accessories.
