Wiselite DP-28
So I wanted to put this here, it's like an RPD but in the PKM caliber, so I thought it fit well. The gun is a hoot to shoot, pan magazines are cheap and plentiful, and she's very accurate as well. Enjoy!

And it shows up in this one as well, being fired off hand by my brother in-law.

Very nice. Looks like a ton O fun. Does it have the same locking flap design on the bolt?
Sure is pretty!
Other than the RPD, the DP28 is a dream rifle.

For me too!
If I had the cash a DP28 would be next on the list, followed by a PKM>
Id love to own one, maybe someday, what kind of ammo does it like?
edited: can you advised how long is the ppsh? how is the trigger? have you had any problems with either firearm? you own the 2 guns I would love to have and dont....

thanks for all the info.
I have a vector RPD as well, the things a hoot to shoot as well, and the locking design is exactly the same, the RPD looks just like a scaled down DP-28 when it comes to the action. They even made a belt feed tray for the DP-28, it snaps on where the magazine goes, a simple drop in design, but I've never seen one for sale. :-(
Both the DP-28 and the PPSH are nice to shoot, the DP-28 digest anything I feed it, haven't found a thing it doesn't like, although I stick with light ball for the most part, not sure if it matters at all, but the recoil is less, so I figure the wear might be as well. The DP-28 semi-auto firing mechanism is beautiful, they made everything fit where the old pull down tab used to be, a superb engineering marvel I would say. The PPSH is very much like an SKS trigger mechanism, but the trigger is lighter than any other semi-auto rifle I own, which makes it alot of fun to shoot. The PPSH throws a ton of crap out of the action due to the blow back design, glasses are a must!
Ahh, missed the PPSH length, the barrel is right at 16" as required, everything else remains the same, but I'm honestly not sure of the OAL. It seems longish, similar to a fixed stock AK. The DP-28 is huge in comparison, even compared to the RPD.
Oh, and no problems with either at this point from a function standpoint. There was an issue on the hammer pin on the DP-28, it was a rod with two screws on either in. The screws fell out but it kept running as the pin was in place. I ended up replacing the pin with a roll pin of sorts, and it stays put. The PPSH has been completely flawless, I ran over 400 rounds through it of nasty, nasty Bulgarian surplus from the 50s, and it never skipped a beat.
I've wanted to get one for awhile now. I have read nothing but bad stuff from the MGS Dp28s when they first came out. Did you buy it from Wiselite or MGS?
Mine came from MGS, but they don't build anything, they had them contract manufactured at Wiselite arms. I've read some bad things as well, but mine has worked wonderfully.
Would you please do a review on that PPsH41, and some close up pics
You can start a new thread in here
I have one of the PPsH-41s coming, should be here this week, or beginning of next. Rumor is this is the last batch of them from Wise-Lite. I'll post a review as well when mine gets here.
I'm digging that DP too!
I heard the trigger pull on those DP's are like 10 pounds. Is that true? That would make any type of rapid fire a real dog on the finger.
The trigger pull on mine is excellent, I would be surprised if it's over 4.
