When I was down in OFAST this year. I fell in love with this gun. Would a Romanian AK Draco Pistol or do I need a Draco Mini for this SBR.

I want my gun to look like this....

Looks like a Krink to me. Don't think it's a mini.

Check the NFA threads on here. Theyre pretty common (Krinks).

It's actually a pretty inexpensive way of getting into stamp collecting.

I would go with a regular Draco as opposed to a mini. Much more practical.

Draco -$349
Stamp -$200

If you're mechanically/technically inclined and have the right tools. You can add the buttstock yourself by buying the stock/mount and drilling/tapping the rear trunion.

not sure what the question was, looks like a yugo m92 front end with a russian or bulgarian sidefolding stock. the mini draco would be closest to that in barrel length.

That looks like a Kinkov which is a a different style of AK from the Dracos but you could build some thing SIMILAR using the mini draco but it wont be the same as a true krink, but it will be cheaper

Isn't the M92 a 10.5" bbl usually? Is that with the muzzle brake pictured? If so, the Mini is the right choice (at 7.75")....the fullsize draco is 11.5" with no muzzle device.

The sight arrangement will be hard to duplicate unless you turn down the trunnion to fit a Krink style rear sight and cover. The stock is just a standard triangle folder. To build something like that will likely cost as much as finding a used one unless you have access to cheap parts kits and the equipment to fit them to a Draco. A while back Krebs was building the exact gun for $1300 or so.....but WITHOUT the stock (it was a Yugo M92 pistol).....you could easily buy that, make sure it ran 100% and then add a folder once your tax stamp came back.

IMO, you can build just as reliable a gun from a Draco....though AK purists may poo-poo your choice compared to a real Krink. Personally, I don't care as long as it's reliable.....though I admit, I'd like to have a Krink some day.

Every once in awhile you come across an NFA registered SBR Krink for $1300 or so....you'd just have to work out the transfer fee and do the paperwork and wait.

HTH,
Sean

I would love to have a Krink, but the Draco is the route I took. My SBR stamp is pending (since May 27th) and all together will cost ~$750. This includes the stamp, Draco, folding mech (stormwerkz) Ace Stock (Midway USA), also added a flash hider & US Palm grip. I think I'm going to add a TWS rail eventually also to increase the sight radius.

Cheapest & simplest route I could find for my first foray into NFA.

That's a Yugo M92 with a sidefolder stock. That's exactly how mine is going to turn out.

An M92 kit costs around $550-$600. The stock was $200. The receiver is $100ish. Then there's the debate on whether or not SBRs require 922(r) compliance. That adds more money because I err on the side of cautiousness.

Then you $200 for the tax stamp.

More for the builder fee if you can't build it yourself.

You can find used M92s on the NFA boards (Sturm and Subguns) for ~$1200-$1400.

AK's seem to be a popular SBR option I'm considering myself. The AK Pistol in my avatar was built from a Romy kit. Since I have a few AR Pistols and SBR'd AR's, I think my next project will be SBRing the AK. I don't have much in the pistol build, $100 for the Romy kit, around $50 in the 80% Receiver, $75 in barrel mods and some misc parts another $200 won't be bad. Well, won't be bad except for the waiting for the Stamp... again.

What's worse: waiting or having nothing to wait for?
