My girlfriend and I are planning on taking a short vacation to Maine in late May, and I want to get my non-resident ccw so I can carry. In the application it asks for proof of a handgun safety class within the past 5 years (which I have not taken) however i have heard rumor that a copy of another state's ccw (i have my NH permit) fills this requirement, but have not had confirmation on that. Anyone know about this requirement?
I sent a copy of my MA LTC and my training creds (I'm an instructor). But in MA you have to have taken a safety course to get your LTC (the first issue).
What I would do is call them and ask the question. They should be able to tell you if your NH permit is sufficient.
Also - it did take the full time alotted for the process. So don't wait until the last minute.

This is what I'm worried about, by the time I can take an NRA pistol course I might be too late
