I just bought a pocket holster for my Smith & Wesson 360 and I think I found how I am going to carry. It is so much more comfortable than the IWB holster I was using. Anybody else pocket carry with a J-frame?

+1. That's my daily carry. Even in my PJ's!

All the time. It took a little getting used to because I have big quads but now it's second nature.

yep... I do about 50% of the time, depends on the pants/shorts, when my J frame is not in my pocket, it's in a glaco IBW.

Most of the time I carry the J frame in the pocket. What holster did you get?

I got a galco pocket holster, really thin leather. I like it.

I seriously recommend you take a look at the pocket holsters sold by "Simply Rugged." Thin material, just enough to break up the outline of the revolver, but not fat like others you often see here. I don't need something like another wallet in my front pocket. Neither do you. Well made and reasonably priced - check it out.

Shorts wise i wear columbia pfg's... Pants i just try to find something with a bigger pocket... Dress pants or clothes with smaller pockets i usually use a galco inbetween the wasteband.

in a way, they print...its just the outline makes it appear as a bulge, vs an imprint of a firearm

With jeans the outline of the grip is fairly apparent on my Ruger LCR. Cargo pants tend not to have deep enough pockets to conceal the firearm (excluding the lower pockets)

My Smith 637 definitely prints with a Desantis Nemesis. The pants that conceal my revolver the best are my 5.11 pants or cargo shorts with deep pockets.

With the pocket holster it just looks like a bulge like it could be a wallet or something else.

Those of yall who wear cargo pants or shorts, how do you get the gun to keep from "slapping" as you walk?

In leg pockets, it just does it. Try putting something heavy in the other pocket too and you notice less.

Or, put it in the back pocket.

I wear cargo shorts while riding a bike and carry in the strong side cargo pocket. That was one of the reasons I went to an air weight (M&P 340) over my Ruger SP101. The Ruger, being a bit heavier, would bug me at times. I don't have these issues with the Smith.

I'll pocket carry the Smith in one of my normal pockets for day to day wear, and don't feel it bouncing around.

I carry my S&W 637 in a "Simply Rugged" pocket holster with deep pockets on dress pants or in 511 pants. The holster is very well made and worth the money.

I wear wrangler cargo shorts and use a cheap blackhawk pocket holster in my front left
It doesnt bang around all that much. That or maybe Im justuse to it after decades of CCW

Now my surefire E2Defender slaps around in the cargo pockets and cuts them also.

I carry my S&W 49 Bodyguard in a Mika pocket holster anytime I leave the house except for when I go to class at a local community college.

I've done it for years.

Be aware that pocket carry of a J frame makes for a really slow draw...unless you are already staged on the revolver. Thankfully most of the time if you're paying attention you can have a hand in the pocket and around the grip of the revolver before trouble gets to the lethal level.

Yep. That's the only way I carry a J-frame. Check out Mika pocket holsters.

Bob Mika is 100% aces as a guy to do business with. When I ordered mine he called within 15 minutes to talk about the holster I wanted, and to just shoot the shit about guns and stuff. It took 3 weeks to the day to get my holster back from him.

I just keep my hand wrapped around the grip. It keeps it stable every time

Seriously though, I think I just get used to it. Typically I carry in a cargo short type pocket. I don't worry too much about printing because as others said it looks more like a bulge than anything in particular. Cops and crooks and CCers may know, but anyone trying to notice will get my attention. So far the J-frame is the bet pocket carry gun invented IMO.

I carry a taurus 605 in an uncle mikes pocket holster every once in a while. It seems to be too big for me to pocket carry. I prefer just to carry my lcp
