 'C' models - barrel cleaning

I have a 3rd Gen model 19C and I have a cleaning question.

First off, the gun is new. I just picked it up and took it shooting for the first time. While cleaning the barrel afterwards, I noticed that there are streaks of lead in the grooves immediately after the port holes running all the way to the end of the barrel. I soaked the inside of the barrel with Hoppes Elite gun cleaner for like 20 minutes and scrubbed it with the stock nylon bore brush - none of it came out. Am I doing it wrong?

Is this normal for ported barrels? Should I be concerned?

Don't be concerned, but when you do want to clean a barrel, get a real bore brush and use that nylon brush to clean your dog's teeth!
