SRT and Short Trigger?
Does anyone have the SRT system and a short trigger? I have a new 226 with the SRT but the trigger is bit of a "reach" for me even with the new style grips. Not seen the SRT and short trigger for sale anywhere. The short trigger looks pretty inexpensive to add but I'm not sure about replacing it myself. I did look at the photos and instructions which are tacked but not sure if I remember seeing specific directions on how to replace the trigger. Anyways, if anyone has this combo I would like to hear about it.
I had SRT and short trigger on my p220
My 226 just has the srt, the reach doesn't bother me with the regular trigger and the short was a bit shorter
The short trigger isn't to difficult install yourself,
The only newer 226's without the short trigger are the stainless elite/nitron, the scorpion and the mk25.
Trigger replacement is very easy.
1. Take slide off
2. Take right side of grip off or entire grip if e2
3. Take trigger bar spring off
4. Twist out takedown lever
5. Pull out locking block
6. Push out trigger pin
7. Pull out trigger and trigger bar.
8. Swap triggers
9. Reverse to put back together.
Easy peasy.

Believe mine is a Nitron, so no short trigger. Sounds fairly easy, I'm not very advanced with these kind of things.
Short Trigger
Standard Trigger
The Stainless Nitron i am talking about is the one with the Stainless Frame, not the aluminum.
I recently acquired an older 229R. I've added the SRT kit and short trigger. I prefer the regular grips to the E2s. With the regular trigger I just couldn't get enough finger on the trigger for the first pull. Compared to hat came out it was a little gritty at first. Some polishing and a whole bunch of dry fire smoothed that right up.

My 229 Dark Elite has both. My 229 40 has neither. You can definitely tell the difference in the reach with the short trigger, but I can still reach without.

My 226 combat TB came with the SRT and a short trigger. I put E2 grips on it and it's the fuckin bee's knee's! I have small hands too so this setup works really for me. Changing the trigger is an easy task, just order it from Sig then check out the tutorial over at the Sig forums.
A lot of Sigs (or at least a handful) are shipping with the SRT and the short trigger, but they're not listing the short trigger in the specs. My 229 Elite (Scorpion) came with both the SRT and the short trigger. If I were to get another Sig, I would have to have both on that one too....then again, I have smaller hands, so I may appreciate them more than some.
On my Sigs, I have the SRT with standard trigger. I don't care for the "short" trigger.
The E2 grip, SRT and Standard trigger is super nice.
I just added the SRT to my sig p226 2 weeks ago. It was pretty easy. If you put the longer part of the safety lever pointing towards the muzzle end of the pistol the magazine wont seat with the slide on and if the slide is off and the magazine is inserted it trips the trigger. Just an FYI.

We are issued a P220 SRT with a short trigger. When dry firing I thought I woild not like the short triger because it seemed like it may pinch part of my finger. I have had the pistol since Jan '12 and have about 800 rounds through it with no problems. It is definitely a more comfortable pull in DA. I find I like either in SA mode.

The change out is easy if you want to do it yourself.
