I've been using my Crossbreed IWB for my G17 all summer but for this winter I'd like to get an OWB for my 4" Kimber Pro Raptor II.
I have no complaints with my IWB nor do I doubt their quality but I figured I would ask before I bought and listen to any suggestion you all would have.

Nobody ?

Anybody care to recommend any OWB for a 4" 1911 that will keep the butt of the pistol close to my body?

Im just about to "pull the trigger" on one of their SuperTuck Deluxe holsters....Just need to have a question answered so I wrote them an email....I've heard they are the schniznits when it comes to inside the waist band....Personally I dont like IWBs (having had prior experience) but since CrossBreed has a 14 day guarantee I figured what the heck....

I just need to remind myself to seek for online coupons before I order......

Good luck with your purchase....Any updates?

OP- I have a super tuck and very comfortable, no complaints except for not being able to get the cant just right. Never used the owb before, but just looking at the picture and knowing how flexible the leather is on the super tuck (especially after it's worn in), I cant imagine it holding too tight against the body, could be wrong though. For owb I've found Kydex holsters to have the best concealability and ride closest to the body. But you never know unless you try it. To each his own, just my $.02.

Beve, you wont regret picking up the sig 239, It's a sweet piece. Me and the GF argue over who gets to cary it so i'll probably wind up getting a second one.

Well I've got to say that first what kind of gunbelt are you using?

I hate my Crossbreed. It's for a Sig228, I love they give you 14 days to return, but also "recommend" that you give it a couple weeks to wear in.

I personally like A LOT of othere holsters out there, and I do not like guns sticking out of any holster, I've moved from IWB towards OWB, but a proper fitting belt makes all the worlds difference, i just picked up an Ares Gear Ranger, and man....it smokes every other belt I've ever seen, held, or worn.

I also cannot get the cant adjusted correctly on my Crossbreed. I'm going for a kydex OWB in the Raven Concealment, Cane & Derby, Bravo Concealment, Kaluban Cloak, etc. There are so many out there these days.....

I went with a JMC Charlie Model for myself, but many of the other makers listed, also Pitbull Tactical seem to make great OWB holsters with excellent concealment, but you've got to have a quality belt. Ares Gear Ranger was my pick, and I'd never look back at anything else. I'm ordering one of their rigger's belts next.
Hope that helps.

Personally, I think it looks cheap, and based on the other pics on their site, it doesn't look any better when it's being worn.

Here's a photo of my MiniSlide. I wear it IWB with a wilderness type belt inside my pants, and it's very comfortable at about 4:30. Got the idea for the setup from another member here named Flatulence.
