IWB CRITERIA CHALLENGE
I'm looking for the holster that meets my daily CC and range/competition needs. Nearly two months of research and I've seen everything from the MTAC to the Secret City. Big companies, to the garage dwellers. I've put together a short list of my preferences here. I'm wanting to leave no stone unturned, so if you are bored and up to the challenge, please do the 5 w's on your recommendation/preference.
CRITERIA:
IWB
Kydex
Up to 20 degree cant
Minimal carcass
Shirt guard
Clip Style
Matching dual mag holster
Quality
100% USA
Handmade Craftsmanship
Competitive warranty
With all this said, I've narrowed down my personal choices to either a Garret Silent Thunder w/ tuckable loops or a Blade Tech Nano. Both I'm sure will be great holsters, just need a little help either picking one of the two or exposing new possibilities. Thanks in advance for any and all input.
Reading all of your criteria, I keep thinking over and over, CTAC, CTAC, CTAC. Have you looked at the Comp-tac CTAC?

+1 I carry in a C-Tac. It's a great holster. The only isue I've had, is the leather struts will begin flexing after a while letting the holster shift a little.
I was actually considering giving their Infidel a try, but the CTAC is a wrapping style IWBH. If you've ever seen the Garrett you'd see what I'm saying...
as compared to
Great holster though.
Sorry, I didn't pick up that you wanted to avoid "wrapping" style holsters. I've not heard them referred to that way before. Out of curiosity, why do you dislike this style? I find that by spreading the loops out to the sides (wrapping style) the holster is very stable (no canting). Also, without the loops on top of the holster, there is less of a bulge where the holster is and less printing for me. With the loops on top of the holster, there is just that much more to push out your side and print. So, I'm just curious why you like the other style.
how about the pitbull hoslter. i have one for my g17. its kind of like a crossbreed but made with all kydex and the clips loop over the belt to hold it in place. it also comes with OWB loops for the holster if you want to open carry at all.

I chose the Nano a while back for my G21SF and G21 Gen4 due to the offset loops and the wide body of the Glock. Best move I made.
The Nano made the G21 ride slim and trim while stabilizing the gun perfectly. All that for short money with little wait too.
Take a look at
Patriot Concealment. I've placed my order this weekend, so don't have the product to inspect/review yet. But, they seem to meet your criteria.
A vote for Garrett. Just recieved a Silent Thunder Slim AIWB. It's sweet.
Next week I will be ordering the standard IWB Silent Thunder.
I vote make your own.
I spent roughly ~100$ on everything I needed to make a holster and mag pouches. While then end result is not as pretty as the guys who do it for a living it works very well. Ive had a raven and a couple comptac IWB holsters. Every one of them would not carry the way I wanted them to.
So I ventured out and tried to make my own. After a couple mag pouch "prototypes" I finally got the gist of it. I just made a IWB holster about a week ago and am fine tuning it here and there, but it conceals better than any holster I have ever bought, and Ive got a tub full of them.
I stole my ctacs clips but everything else I made myself. Like I said, not pretty, but very concealable and functional
never heard of them thanks for the info
Another make your own vote. Its not very hard to do. Kinda fun, and your designs will improve with time. I have easily made up my start up expenses, by making holsters/gear for friends, students, myself.
