 1911 Holster Help

Trying to help out my brother. His EDC Gun is a Dan Wesson V-Bob (4 1/4" 1911). He likes to carry the same way I do, roughly 12 o'clock (being where the belt buckle is in the front) to 1 o'clock (slightly to the right / strong side). He likes to carry IWB.

He is currently using a generic Desantis IWB holster, and is trying to find a good one to replace it with. He is looking for a leather one, not a Kydex or Kydex / leather hybrid.

The problem is that most IWB holsters have the 20 degree forward cant for hip carry. This puts the gun at an awkward angle when the holster is moved to the front of the body. What he needs is a cross-draw style, IWB holster.

I purchased a Simply Rugged holster for my 5" 1911, but custom ordered it to make the gun more cross-draw style than FBI cant style. I like the holster allot, and am gonna let him try it out for a day or so to see if he likes it.

So, my question is this. Other than the one-off Simply Rugged holster, who else makes holsters with these specs?

Thanks!

I would check those places. If you can't find exactly what your looking for to purchase, Old Faithful has kits to make your own.

Hope this is a good start

Thanks for the links, but I think you miss-understood. He wants all leather, not a kydex & leather hybrid holster.

I also forgot to add that he wants the "body shield", the extra piece of leather that fits between the top of the gun and the body so that the gun doesn't contact him.

Something along these lines, but as a cross-draw rather than the forward FBI-cant.
