Streamlight TLR-1s: Does the strobe function with the remote switch?

If anyone has the TLR-1s with the strobe function:
Once the strobe feature has been "activated", does it come on every time you use the pressure switch? Or is the strobe activated only by the paddle?
I'm eying one of the TLR-1s with the contoured remote switch to use on my G22, but I may just go with the non-strobe version if it can't be used with the pressure switch.
