Who has one and what brand have you found to fit best? Local selection is minimal here in Fairbanks so I am looking for folks who have installed one on thier PT1911.

Thanks.

A friend of mine has a Taurus 1911 with the tactical rail and the pistol is about 2.5 years old. He bought an Advantage Arms standard kit and it works great on his Taurus. Kimber states their 22 conversion will not work on Taurus. The cut out on the bottom of the slide on the Kimber does not line up with the disconnector on the Taurus 1911. You can open the notch on the bottom of the Kimber slide to give clearance for the disconnector and the KImber will then usually work with the Taurus 1911. I have a Rock Island 1911-A1 pistol and usually keep my AA standard 22 kit on the RIA frame and mostly shoot the pistol as a 22 rimfire.
