pt-145 problem
I have never been big on taurus but i decided to give the 145 a chance since it holds 11 45s. First box of ammo through it and the firing pin cover popped off and hit me in the lip, enough to make it bleed. I was not able to recover the little black piece in the grass so now there is just a hole and a little green dot, do you think taurus would send me a new cover, and should i even put it back it for fear of it hitting me or my wife again.
PS another good reason to wear safety glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From what I've read, the PT145 is more problematic than its two smaller cousins. Sucks that you have to deal with a warranty repair. Hopefully you can take it back to the store you bought it from and let them deal with sending it in. If you have to do it on your own dime, it'll cost you $50 for FedEx or UPS overnight. Alternatively, find a FFL that's willing to ship it for you USPS flat rate for a small fee.
The good news is that once Taurus eventually gets it fixed, you'll have a pretty good little gun on your hands.
