PK380 Range Report
I took my PK380 to the range for the first time and ran 150 rds through it. I am pretty happy with it thus far. I was shooting some cheap Monarch ammo from Academy, and that was some dirty ammo, but when it's the only thing available in the store, you deal with it.
I really loved the feel of the grip and the lack of recoil. I need to run a few more hundred rounds through it before I make a final verdict on it. Anyone have the same impressions/thoughts? Please share.

I bought one for my mom. We finally took it to the range, but only had enough time to run 4 mags through it. Shot nice, felt great, no issues thus far...needs to be shot more before it's trusted, but so far so good.
That's too many failures and a bad issue with your safety.
I'd get in touch with S&W customer service and send it back.
Monarch isn't top notch ammo but your pistol should eat it up anyway. Good luck, I hope you get it running right.

Mine had the safety walk issue, and I feel that I have improved it dramatically. Scan through the threads about P22s and you will find a similar fix (wish I could provide that link, but it wasn't too hard to find). Basically I took off the safety levers and gently filed on the "shoulders" so that they would fit more snugly against the frame. Be careful not to go too far!
Range test afterwards showed that I had eliminated the problem with several brands of ammo, with the exception of Remington ball ammo. I reproduced the problem twice in a 50rd box of them (originally it was every few shots), and I could feel a slight delay in lockup during the slide's cycle on every shot (again only on this ammo), so that may have been a contributor. The Blazer, Federal, and Winchester ran perfectly and I got through 250 rounds through it that day without any stoppages or issues.
I am reserving final judgement on this pistol as well, until I get north of 1000-1500 rounds through it, but I am having fun with it so far.
ETA: read the thread "How I made my P22 not suck" and I think you will find a link to the "Walther P22 Bible". It was very helpful.
I've put 250 rounds through mine and have not had any problems so far
My boss has one of these and was asking me about a holster. What do y'all think? He was wanting a Serpa or something similar. Does Blackhawk make a Serpa for it?
