P-22 and PK380
Interested in either one of these for a small cal. cc gun.
Question is, some of these are advertised with "no lock" or "no internal lock", what exactly are they referring to? The slide not locking back on an empty mag or is it some type
of internal safety unique to these models? Should this be of a concern one way or the other?
I haven't seen "no lock" or "no internal lock" mentioned about my P-22. It probably refers to the trigger lock. Some may not have that option, but mine does. I never use it as it is another useless safety feature. I wouldn't worry about it either way.
ya mine has a key to lock the gun on the P22. If it is for protection I'd get the .380. I feel the P22 would not be reliable since many P22 are prone to jam someway or another. I am sure you will find plenty of feeding issues with some of the older P22s. Not sure about the new ones.
My P22 has been flawless so far (2010 manufacture date). I think the P22 problems are a thing of the past. I still wouldn't feel really comfortable carrying I as a defensive weapon though (because of caliber, not platform).
