Does anyone else have an 8" Colt Anaconda?
I got one at the gun show today in polished stainless. This is my first 44 magnum and I'm excited to add it to my collection.
Just wondering what you guys think of them.
I will pick it up on Monday after my 48 hour wait is up.

So does the prior owners ass hurt from that "trade?"
I picked up a 8 in a couple of years ago. Great shooter and a very solid 44 Mag!

My kimber was a ultra rapter and with its size and with CC finally in WI I'm sure he figures he can sell the kimber a lot faster.
IMHO. I prefer the Smith 29 series. I had 2 Anacondas before Colt took them off the market. Both in 44 mag. Good shooters but now they are really just collectors pieces.
I might end up selling this one to fund a python down the road.
This was just too good of a deal not to grab it.
I bought one in 97 I think it was. The stock grip was a little small and the barrel little long. Lock up and timing was so so. It's not a Python. Factory ported though which was nice. It shot well. I had no problems with it. I sold mine to a collector in Tennessee or Kentucky maybe it was. He had Pythons and wanted an Anaconda. Only gun I ever made money on and I sold it cheap from what was being asked for them. New price on it was like $475. They were cheap when they were new. I wish I had a truck load of them now.
OP yours looks very nice.
$475 sounds about what I gave for mine new around 97 as well.
I tell woman i do, but i really dont.
