Traded an AR for it, supposed to be a Series 1 with very little rounds fired and a safe queen. I traded my last 1911 about a year ago and needed to get another one. I really dont know much about the model except for the pictures I saw. Couldnt really find anything on Kimber's website about them, they only have the series 2.

Depending on the AR you traded you might have gotten a good deal. Most people like series I kimber's because they don't have the swartz safety.

I have a series 1 Gold Match. Mine is a fine shooter and very well built. I had a trigger job done on it this year after being in my safe for years. I'm probably going to use mine for competition and have a mount for a red dot installed. I might go with the new Leupold dovetail sight as well. You won't regret it.
