If you want to go IWB, I like the leather IWB Milt Sparx Versa Max II for 1911s.

A lot of people also speak highly of the Kydex/leather hybrid IWB holsters like the Crossbreed Supertuck or the CTAC Minotaur.

I like the Sparks VM2 but the 30 week delivery kinda turns me off.

That is true, but there is another way.
Top Gun Supply gets in VM-2s for sale about once a month or so for around $140. This way one can avoid ordering direct, which does take over 6 months. You can subscribe to Top Gun's email list for the VM-2 and receive a notification when they arrive.

Iv'e got a Crossbreed Supertuck coming for my Ultra Covert....should be here soon.....if ya haven't poped on one by then i'll give ya a personal review. I wear shorts alot at my shop so my review will biased more towards that angle with an untucked shirt.

Check the equipment exchange. There are some holsters on there for the 3" 1911's

If you care about excessive wear on your pistolI ? I reccommend TAUGA leather.I got one for my Raptor $49.95. Mag carrier $39.95

Very reasonable priced & well built & double stiched leather, worth the money:) YOU CAN GET LEATHER MUCH MORE HIGH PRICED BUT NOT LONGER LASTING THEY COME IN BLACK ALSO.

Using the MTAC with my Tactical Ultra II and works well. I go with shirts untucked or open dress shirt over tucked T-shirt.

Ya know thats funny you ask? Just recieved an order from Tucker leather, Texas. I waited sixteen months for his handmade HF1 rig for my Pro Crimson. I went all out, got belt and mag holder also. Beautiful work, belt is just amazing, never had a belt like this. Its just eye appealing and you can smell the fresh leather. While impatiently waiting, I also found he has the Silent Thunder model. Now, Im not crazy about plastic anything, but its linned with fine leather and fits like a leather glove, it holds itself open well, for reholstering, when using it with this new belt, I forget I have it on. I use it more than the HF1, but I do have the option..........catfish60

Make you own....

Clips are comp-tac, the rest is homemade. It takes about 2-3 hours to make a holster while watching TV.

So you've had that Crossbreed for a few months now. How do you like it?
