I bought a used 09 model LCP this past saturday and it wont feed the first two rounds after the first shot. It seems like the feed ramp on the barrel is to steap. Anyone else had this problem and did you find a solution.

Mine had a break in period where it jammed more frequently when it was new.
It is still not overly fond of the wimpy/cheap/blasting type ammo and will occasionally jam when shooting it.
If I shoot the hotter self defense ammo, it works like a charm.

THe only feeding problems I've had with mine were with TulAmmo.

Everything else worked fine. I'd break it in, and try different brands of ammo.

On all of my mouse guns I polish the feed ramp to a mirror finish with my Dremel tool and some polishing compound. Did this with my LCP and she has been flawless.

I do the same, and did it on my LCP.

I also installed a Wolff 13lb recoil spring. Really helps to launch the cartridge into the chamber. Do a Google search on this spring; lots of satisfied customers.

Problem solved; no more FTF's. I polished the feedramp and added the 13lb. spring. It takes a bit to rack the slide but it worked.

Thanks guys.

Did you switch ammo at the same time?

Glad to hear it worked. I agree on racking the slide. I've wondered if Ruger didn't go with the factory weight spring just to make it more "gal friendly".
