Anyone got a pic of a J and K frame snubby together? I'm looking at getting the wife a .38 and was going to go with a J frame but ran across a nice 64-2 at a good price.Waiting to drop the hammer on it till I see just how much bigger it is.She'll be using it as an all around range toy/occasional CCW piece.

Fair amount bigger.
This is going to be one busy weekend but ... if I can ... I'll take/post a pic of a S&W 60 and a S&W 66.
Best I might be able to do .

Note that this Mod. 36 could hardly have a less CCW-type grip.
My 2c ... the K is probably going to have a much better trigger. Is going to be steadier to hold. Is going to recoil less.
But that K is a serious chunk of gunmetal to CCW without a good holster and a good belt.
Damn shame to leave it behind if you needed it because it was a bit too big.
Maybe she could carry around a "loaner" for a couple of hours/days to see if one is a better fit than another.

Alot of good stuff in this post.
I have 3 J frames: 60-3, a 36 3" HB round butt and a 63 kit gun.
All three are small enough that they get a fair amount of use.
My hands down favorite would have to be my S&W 66 3".
Wifey and daughter prefer the 66 with 38sp loads.

For a range toy and sometimes CCW then I would get her the 64-2 at a good price. Has she held a K or J frame? Let her decide what she wants and can conceal.
