P32 slide not locking to the rear...

Alrighty so i have had my P32 for a while and have put about 300 rounds through it. Thus far it has functioned vary well (only 5 failure to feeds in that and those were cleared by thumping the back of the slide). But it has recently taken to not locking open after the last round is fired. I was wondering if this is a common problem with a common fix before i send it back to have KT figure it out. Thanks guys.

yeah i should have specified that, i have tried both my 7 rounders and my 10 rounder. They all act the exact same way.

I'd call Kel-Tec first and see if they can send you some mag followers.

I really doubt its mag followers. It seems like the catch itself or the slide is not "gripping". If i ease the slide down with an empty mag in it it feels like it will catch but as soon as i let go it slams forward...

I would rule out the followers and anything wrong with the pistol.... I own and carry a P32 mouse shooter for a last resort back up. When mine does that it's the mag springs.... I'm one of those " shameful " spring stretchers...... I stretch them out a little and the slide locks fine.... As cheap as mag springs are you can keep a handful from Kel Tec. Let's see.... phone number.... 321-631-0068.
See thread P3AT issues.....

ya know i tryed just holding the mag flat against the grip and the slide locks back fine. Could this possibly be a mag catch problem too? Ill try the mag spring stretch thing too...

Great, glad that worked..... that was really an exercise to diagnose problem... every time you stretch those your weakening the coils. I have stretched mine 4 or 5 times, but it's time to order new springs.
