Nice visit with Don Williams (The Action Works) today.....
I was in Prescott, Arizona today and decided to take a short side-trip up to Chino Valley to visit Don Williams of "The Action Works". I just happened to have my 73C Series BHP with me and I have wanted to get an ambidextrous safety installed for some time now. Upon arrival at "The Action Works' shop, Mr. Williams graciously invited me inside and made time in his busy schedule to install the new safety while I waited.
It was a great visit and I do plan to eventually send him my slide to have a set of Novak sights installed......
Here are a couple of poor c-phone pics of my BHP now...I will post better ones when I can get to a decent camera:
Love the mans work here is my pistol built by him.<a href="http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e188/alexfiggy/?action=view¤t=f1564378.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e188/alexfiggy/f1564378.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>

Wow, that is a beauty!
I really love the feel of the new safety.......very positive and so much easier to engage and disengage...

Don does amazing work. He is better than a lot of people who charge more.
Here is a couple of HPs that Don has worked on.

Your hard chrome T is outstanding! And the MKIII with Bar Sto barrel and Bo-mar sights is nice also.
So YOU'RE the reason my gun is taking a year to get done! Bah, Humbug on your safety install.

For real. I'm on the waiting list, and I'm just dying to send for him to restore my Kareen to its former glory (and then some!).

If you have three of his guns I have no sympathy for you and your wait.

Ha ha ha.....Sorry about that! I knew his backlog was pretty extensive and I didn't expect him to do the install while I waited, but he said it would only take about 15 minutes if I didn't mind hanging out for a bit.....
I can imagine that he doesn't get many customers coming by his shop. It is located on the outskirts of town and is in a beautiful spot with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. We passed a couple of nice herds of antelope on the trip out. The shop is immaculate and well organized. He had a 1911 frame on the bench that was in the process of getting a checkering job done on the frontstrap.
I look forward to taking another trip back there to drop off my slide so he can install the Novak sights.....

Good looking gun.
Do you mind "just running by" with a pistol for me. Just a little minor Tactical Package.
