Does anyone have one and if so, what's your view regarding accuracy, reliability and would you purchase this pistol again????? I saw one at the gun shop yesterday and I am intrigued, especially give the $350 price point!

For the little extra money it costs, get the Ruger LCR.

. You can buy a new S&W 637/642/638 for the same price.

This, ever since S&W dropped their prices across the board, I would never buy a Taurus. I own an old model 66 from Taurus made in '89 but I only paid $200 for it....and it had to be shipped back to Taurus to be fixed, which they did

I've had a "luke warm" experience with KelTec thus far so stearing clear of Taurus could be sage advise. However, the weight and ergonomics of the Polymer Protector .357 were pretty nice!

No firsthand experience,but

Taurus+Polymer+.357 Magnum+ $350?

I've owned all the pieces of this four part equation individually over the years and in a variety of combinations. Not sure I'd put them all in one gun, but to each his own

I like Taurus revolvers and generally believe they represent a very good value. With that understanding, I'd pass on this. I have no desire to own a plastic revolver.

I've only owned the one Taurus .357 7 shot I have now. It's been a great little .357. But I wouldn't trust a polymer revolver from anyone, especially in a magnum.

I wouldn't piss on a Taurus if I saw one on fire.

a friend of mine has the Poly Protector .38. It's an ok gun, recoil is snappy, which isn't a surprise with how light the gun is. I agree with the others and wouldn't buy one when a Smith is about the same cost and is a much better gun IMO. If the .357 version is anyhting like the .357 LCR, I don't think you want one. I talked to a guy that has a .357 LCR and he said the recoil is so bad that no one wants to shoot more than 5 rounds through it.
